Ventus is an innovative and boundary-pushing chamber music ensemble. The duo formed by clarinetist Louise Mogensen and flutist Michaela Hansen, is known for their captivating performances and interdisciplinary projects which embrace collaboration with artists from various disciplines.

As part of the Danish Arts Foundation's "The Young Artistic Elite," Ventus stands among the most promising young artists in Denmark. They have been awarded prestigious talent prizes such as the Léonie Sonning Talent Prize and the Carl Nielsen and Anne Marie Carl-Nielsens Legat.

Ventus made their debut in the esteemed Ninth Osaka International Chamber Music Competition in Japan in 2017. Since then, they have embarked on an international journey, captivating audiences with their chamber music performances across the globe. Their talent and dedication has been recognized with numerous awards, including the 1st prize at the Oskar Rieding International Competition, the 3rd prize at the International Music Competition Luigi Nono, and the 1st prize at the International Music Competition "London" Grand Prize Virtuoso. They were also honored with the 2nd prize at the P2 Radio Chamber Music Competition and the 3rd prize at The 3rd Rising Stars Grand Prix International Music Competition in Berlin. Ventus was even invited to perform at the renowned Berliner Philharmonics Chamber Music Hall.

In 2018, Ventus achieved another significant milestone by winning the 1st prize at the Busan Maru International Music Festival - Concerto Competition in South Korea where they performed Jean Françaix's double concerto alongside the Busan Symphony Orchestra.

The strength of Ventus lies in the profound musical dialogue and harmony between the duo. Together, they create a diverse palette of colors, exploring the possibilities of their instruments and pushing the boundaries of their artistry. Ventus strongly believes in the principles of equality and mutual respect, inviting artists to join them in a collaborative process where everyone's contributions are valued.
